This analysis examines the draft slots of teams that made it to the Championship Round of the FFPC Main Event in 2023.

The “sweet spots” were picks 3 – 5 and 10 – 11. The 3 – 5 range is attributed to the area where Christian McCaffrey was selected, and 10 – 11 is heavily influenced by CeeDee Lamb picks. 40% of Lamb teams advanced to the Championship Round. Overall, 35% of Christian McCaffrey teams advanced to the Championship Round.

The poorest performing spot (again …. ) was #1, where Justin Jefferson was the most common selection. The #12 spot, dishing out a lowly 7% advance rate to the “sprint”, was where Saquon Barkley and Nick Chubb were most often selected.
